I recently purchased a Medion 8gb USB flash drive from my local Aldi store here in the US. I bought the Medion because I thought it was a good value when compared to other 8gb models for sale locally.

Well, the drive has been one big headache from the start. I plugged it in and it worked for a few minutes. Long enough for me to transfer several GBs of data onto the drive, and then it quit. XP will not recognize it.

This is very disappointing, can anyone help? I figured it was hard to screw up a flash drive. But, from a google search, I can see there are a few other reports of this model flash drive malfunctioning just like mine.

Please, any suggestions as to how I can get the drive working so that I can attempt to recover my data?
